What do the Free Seventh Day Adventist believe?

The organization was founded in 1912 by J.W. Manns. He bought property from Cora S. Cassels on November 29th 1912. Next, he made arrangements for the church to purchase the property from him on October 15th 1915. Then, the church borrows money from the bank Dec 03, 1915.

  • Is this organization only for blacks?

    Galatians 3:28, 29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

    John 8:31, 32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
  • Interview with Pastor Kilson

    Here are the questions that I would like you to ask and receive info on:

    What is your role in the Free Church?

    Ans: For such a time as this God as seen fit to allow me to be the president of the General Assembly of Free SDA’s. I feel it is my duty to see that the work goes forward under the Three Angels Message and to ensure that the brethren are continuing in the work without compromise and with boldness. I am endeavoring like the apostle Paul to be a faithful undershepherd and “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine”. 2Tim 4:2

    In your position, where do you see the General Assembly of FSDA headed (its’ future)?

    Ans: I see us growing as an organization; having well qualified ministers and young people rightly trained who are desirous of seeing souls won to the family of God. “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world!”--Education, p. 271. {ChS 30.2}

    We are to encourage our young men and women to pursue a Godly education and to gain humility and sound instruction.

    What effort are you intending to use to further the work of the General Assembly

    Ans: It is my hope that we can organize facilities to train young people. I see us having “Schools of the Prophets” even in our day. These schools would educate young people in both the gospel work and as medical missionaries. “In all our churches there should be schools, and teachers in these schools who are missionaries. It is essential that teachers be trained to act well their part in the important work of educating the children of Sabbathkeepers, not only in the sciences, but in the Scriptures. These schools, established in different localities and conducted by God-fearing men or women, as the case demands, should be built on the same principles as were the schools of the prophets.” {CG 306.1}

    “The cause is in need of hundreds of workers who have received a practical and thorough education in medical lines, and who are also prepared to labor from house to house as teachers, Bible workers, and colporteurs. Such students should come out of the school without having sacrificed the principles of health reform or their love for God and righteousness.” {CT 471.2}
  • Interview with Pastor Jones

    Here are the questions that I would like you to ask and receive info on:

    What is your role in the Free Church?

    Ans: I have been chosen to serve as Vice-President of the General Assembly of Free Seventh-day Adventists and as Pastor of the Temple of Truth Church in Brunswick, GA. I am honored to hold these positions and continue to rely on the precious grace of God to perform these duties both faithfully and humbly.

    As the Lord has seen it fit for me to serve in these capacities, I deem it my duty to educate workers and members by encouraging in them to manifest a spirit of Godliness and service. We must all work together in the building-up of a Church militant for the coming of the Lord. “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Eph 6:13-17

    In your position, where do you see the General Assembly of FSDA headed (its’ future)?

    Ans: The future of this movement looks bright. This was confirmed to me in the meetings held on June 19th & 20th, 2008. There was present on that occasion a display of unity and fellowship rarely seen among men and women today. This has always been my vision, a united group of brethren, versed in the scriptures and in love with the Lord.

    We are already witnessing the fruits of those meetings. Various campaigns are even now going on and precious souls are being introduced to the Gospel of Salvation and the Gospel of Health.

    What effort are you intending to use to further the work of the General Assembly?

    Ans: I foresee future campaigns with joint efforts from our health ministry leaders, Bible workers and evangelists. God’s design is for a holy and happy people He said “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” and “….. it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 3John 2 & 1Pet 1:16.

    If we combine the medical missionary work with the Three Angels Message we will be able to do a work that will supersede anything we now envision.
  • Interview with Bro. Mamon Wilson

    Here are the questions that I would like you to ask and receive info on:

    What is your role in the Free Church?

    Ans: As a Gospel Medical Missionary Evangelist, I believe my primary role is to stimulate church growth and to implement reformatory changes.

    In your position, where do you see the General Assembly of FSDA headed (its’ future)?

    Ans: The leadership of FSDA is a very humble group of men and women, hence I see them willing to combine both the gospel and the medical missionary work. This is a work that has been generally neglected by the church as a whole. By instituting this work I sincerely believe we will have wonderful results in soul-wining and in retaining new as well as old converts.

    What effort are you intending to use to further the work of the General Assembly?

    Ans: As stated above I intend to combine the medical missionary work with the gospel to produce what I feel will be a more effective ministry. “All gospel workers should know how to give the simple treatments that do so much to relieve pain and remove disease”.-- Ministry of Healing, p. 146.

    “Intemperance has filled our world, and medical missions should be established in every city. By this I do not mean that expensive institutions should be established, calling for a large outlay of means. These missions are to be conducted in such a way that they will not be a heavy drain on the cause; and their work is to prepare the way for the establishment of present truth. Medical missionary work should have its representatives in every place in connection with the establishment of our churches. The relief of bodily suffering opens the way for the healing of the sin-sick soul”. --Medical Ministry, p. 322. {CME 19.3}

    “In every city where we have a church, there is need of a place where treatments can be given....A place should be provided where treatments may be given for common ailments. The building might be inelegant and even rude, but it should be furnished with facilities for giving simple treatments”.--Testimonies, Vol. 6, p. 113. {CME 19.4}

    Every church should have a medical missionary facility and a city mission connected to them. These facilities should accommodate both church members and the community alike. Each city mission and/or medical missionary outpost should have the necessary tools to assist those in need. For example, an individual could have their blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, etc all checked at the city mission. In addition to this there would be workers present capable in instructing persons on how to eat healthfully, exercise, etc. Prayer would be offered for and with each guest. This would also be a convenient opportunity to hand-out certain essential literature, etc.

    In essence these facilities would teach the world and the church, regardless of whether they live in the country or city how to better manage their general health, while providing a means to introduce them to the Three Angels Message.

    Lastly, I would like the churches under the umbrella of the Free to remain congregational, versus a traditional hierarchal organization. However, every church must still be accountable to the General Assembly of Churches with regards to doctrinal beliefs both spiritual and moral as well as in their financial support. This would enable us to help one another and allow for accountability as the scripture says “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for [his] good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”. Rom 15:1-4
